Let’s face it, what I do goes completely against the norm. I am a fat (I use this as a completely neutral descriptor) nutritionist. I help people who have realised that dieting just is not for them. Whether dieting has caused disordered eating or eating disorders, or it has meant that a person realises that a life dieting is miserable and actually not sustainable.
I support people to eat consistently, stop the binge and meal plan regardless of their weight, whether a person has ADHD or not. This is important because we have so much research to support that healthy behaviours regardless of weight, makes a huge difference to a person’s health overall.

You are never going to get a diet from me. I won’t ever give you a meal plan or a tell you to lose weight. I help you build in healthy behaviours that are accessible to you regardless of your weight.
Fat Positive
I know it may sound wild having the word “fat” and “positive” together. We can break down societies expectations to actually become fat positive. I work from a place where I would never ask a person to lose weight.
Health At Every Size (HAES) aligned
You deserve access to healthy behaviours regardless of your weight. You do not need to lose weight to have those behaviours. Weight loss is used as a “cure” for so many things health wise but we know that is not the case.
Intersectional feminist
Being a Nutritionist, I work with many people with marginalised bodies/identities which means I need to have knowledge around these identities and how these will impact relationship with food/health and body.
Person centered
You are important. My work is centered around you.
ADHD trained
I have ADHD and I know how much that impacts eating. Because of that, I am the person you need to help you with your ADHD and relationship with food.

I am Jeanette Thompson-Wessen BSc (Hons) PGCE QTS qualified Nutritionist, Founder and CEO of Anti Diet World and potential ADHDer.
I have worked with easily over 100 people on their relationship with food, nutrition and supporting health regardless of weight in the 4 years of being The Mindset Nutritionist.
When I discovered I probably have ADHD, probably like you, it was like a light bulb moment of why I eat like I eat.
